Please find attached the "AdministratorGuide" documentation which includes the installation of the SAP Client.
N.B. the following:-
  • The SAP client software is a "Thick Client" and therefore MUST be installed on a machine that is local to the SAP Server.  If the client is remote from the SAP system, they MUST access the SAP system through a Terminal Server, or WEB based facility if it has been configured.  The SAP software is NOT currently supported in any other environment.
  • The user installing the software MUST be logged on to the machine as an Administrator of the machine.
  • The installation of the SAP client from the "Setup" program, MUST be "Run as Adminstrator" mode.
  • The first time that the SAP client is run and any time an additional add-on is required to be installed, the SAP client MUST be "Run as Adminstrator" mode. 

If any of this is not performed correctly, it can then be required that a windows administrator for the machine will be required to:-

  •  uninstall all SAP related software

  • run a registry repair to remove all registry settings related to the SAP installation and possibly other registry errors

  • re-install the SAP client as above
